Darla Hernandez-Lippert is thrilled to be back at WSBT as a special projects/general assignment reporter. For more than 6 years, she anchored the weekend Saturday Morning show on WSBT. During her time anchoring and reporting at WSBT she received The Indiana Associated Press Award for best spot news. She was recently named one of Sassy magazines "2014 Women to Watch."
Darla came from WJRT-TV in Flint Michigan, where she was the weekend morning anchor. She also reported and worked for the ABC affiliate in Detroit and Grand Junction, Colorado. Darla and her husband Jason have four children : Gillian, Quinn, and twins Luke and Landen. "Motherhood in my opinion is the toughest job there is, but by far the most rewarding," said Darla.
She is passionate about stories that make a difference here in Michiana with a focus on children and health. Darla is involved with her church GCC and area charities such as The Logan Center, The Boys and Girls Club of Goshen, and The Center for The Homeless in South Bend.
