Season in review: Ihedigbo was a late addition to the roster this summer, but he quickly became a key contributor on special teams. And when starting strong safety Bernard Pollard missed three games with a rib injury late in the regular season, Ihedigbo replaced him in the starting lineup and played pretty well.
Signature moment: In the fourth quarter of a 13-10 win against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Ihedigbo was not blocked as he blitzed from the safety spot and delivered a crushing hit to quarterback Byron Leftwich.
Stat that stands out: five -- missed tackles on special teams by Ihedigbo, according to Pro Football Focus.
Pro Football Focus grade: +0.2 overall as a defender | -3.5 overall on special teams.
Outlook for 2013 and beyond: Like fellow safety Sean Considine, Ihedigbo was signed to a one-year deal before the 2012 season, so he will be a free agent. The Ravens would like to have Ihedigbo back in 2013.
Update: Ihedigbo signed a one-year contract to stay with the Ravens on March 12.
