Under Shore Health System's partnership with the University of Maryland Medical System, it established a <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="HEDAI0000022" title="Diabetes" href="/topic/health/diseases-illnesses/diabetes-HEDAI0000022.topic">diabetes</a> and endocrine center. It also created clinics for follow-up care for liver and kidney patients and opened an emergency room in Queen's Anne County, which doesn't have a hospital.
