Cooling Down honorable mention
This week's runner up goes to Deb Sharkey for a photo of her daughter and her friends cooling down poolside after swim practice. Sharkey used a Nikon D3100 and an 18-55mm lens to capture the moment. Here is a critique by photo editor Jerry Jackson: "The photographer did a great job of freezing the water midair with a 1/2000th of a second shutter speed. I would be tempted to crop in tighter from the top to emphasize the action and make it a simpler composition."
