( Amy Davis/Baltimore Sun / May 27, 2012 ) Eric Hsieh of New York City, in front, joins the other cyclists in the traditional dip of their rear bicycle tires in the water before beginning their trip to the west coast. The Inner Harbor was the substitute for the Atlantic Ocean. 88 college students dipped the rear wheels of their bikes in the Inner Harbor Sunday morning before setting out on a 70-day 4000-plus mile journey to the Pacific ocean for the 4K for Cancer ride organized by the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults. The riders are bound for San Francisco, Portland and Seattle. |
