'Looped'

There may have never been a greater character in show business than Tallulah Bankhead; she was outrageous, flamboyant and way out there, even before John Waters was born. "Looped," playing at the France-Merrick Performing Arts Center at the Hippodrome March 5-10 and 12-17, stars Stefanie Powers as Tallulah and showcases a classic confrontation from the end of her career, when an inebriated and defiant Bankhead was simply unable to re-record a line in her final film, the truly awful "Die Die My Darling" — causing things to get uproariously heated between her and the poor sound engineer tasked with reining her in.
