Environmental emergency training connected to the Costa Concordia wreck is underway on the Tuscan island of Giglio, according to a recent tweet from @SjaakSeen.
According to @SjaakSeen’s Twitter profile, he’s a United Nations Disaster Assessment and Coordination (UNDAC) member and chief safety and operations fire department, safety region in the Rotterdam area of The Netherlands.

Pompano Beach-based Titan Salvage and parnter Micoperi were chosen to salvage the ship and work was expected to start this month to upright the ship. The salvage is expected to take a year.
The Costa Cruises operated ship capsized off of Giglio on January 13, claiming 32 lives.
