PLYMOUTH – Help is on the way for more than 100 workers who suddenly lost their jobs in Plymouth.
Whitley Products closed its doors on Thursday without warning, leaving employees upset with the company.
Whitley, which is headquartered in Warsaw and had facilities in Plymouth and Franklin, North Carolina, makes precision tubular products for diesel engines, agricultural equipment, off-highway, construction equipment and HVAC markets.
WorkOne is taking quick action by holding two job fairs and informational sessions for the workers who lost their jobs at Whitley.
The job fairs and information sessions for the Whitley Products workers are scheduled on Tuesday, January 29 at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Each unemployed worker may only attend one session.
WorkOne staff members will provide information on a range of issues, including resume assistance. WorkOne’s services are available to people at no charge. They will talk about training options.
At least 3 employers will send representatives to discuss new employment opportunities.
The event will be held at WorkOne Marshall County at Pine Creek Plaza, 2878 Miller Drive in Plymouth.
The job fair and informational session is only for people who lost their Whitley Products jobs this week.
