The prices at the pump are expected to spike come summertime. Experts said they could once again top $4 a gallon by May.
Over the past four weeks, prices have jumped about 19-cents around the country. That's after a report showing the lowest level of fuel use since Sept. 2001.
Right now, the average price for a tank of gas in Central Indiana is $3.48 a gallon. That's actually down from last month but only by a few cents.
Prices are more than 30-cents higher than this time last year.
