Fox59 found one-stop shopping for things like sunglasses, handbags and travel items, and it will not cost you an arm and a leg.
It’s called One Click Ventures.
“Amazon had comparably priced readers, but I just didn't like the styles,” said Chris Metcalf, who was looking for reader glasses. “Then I found some at drug stores. They were inexpensive, but cheap.”
That is when Metcalf did a little investigating online and came across One Click Ventures.
There, he found nice, half-rim glasses for less than $20. The Greenwood, Ind.-based company offers thousands of choices for nine items, including handbags, ties, scarves, fedora's, sunglasses, reading glasses and travel items.
“We started in 2005, selling sunglasses out of our co-owners homes and now, we employ 50 people and are growing,” said Alessandra Souers, director of e-mail marketing. “We sell non name brand items, but with name-brand quality for a lot less! So, instead of spending $400 or $1,000 on a handbag, people can come to us and spend less than $85 on a handbag, the same for other items.”
As you can imagine, they have a lot of happy customers. They even have an employee with the title "Customer Happiness Supervisor,” who is better known as Laura Huffman.
“A lot of my day is working with customers, so helping them with their questions by phone, email,” said Huffman. “We also have live chat.”
One Click Ventures is huge; it’s a 68,000 square foot building. It even has the warehouse inside the office building. They want to make their customers happy, but also their employees as well. So they have a huge game room with couches, ping pong, pool tables, foosball, darts and places to eat.
“It’s great, and it helps to clear the brain,” said Souers. “People can do whatever, maybe watch TV, sit on the couch with their laptops, and I've even seen the owner in here challenging some people to ping pong.”
Metcalf who bought the reader glasses from One Click Ventures said the website is easy to use.
“I was able to search by what I was able to look for, by the magnification, pulled up all the various options, clicked and ordered,” said Metcalf. “That was on a Wednesday. I got my order on Friday. That’s perfect!”
