How would you like to go on the honeymoon of a lifetime? If you’re engaged, or plan on it soon, the group Beach Bum Cares can help.
The group helps poor children of the Caribbean and Mexico with the basics, including food, medicine and education supplies.
They will also provide a lucky couple with an amazing honeymoon, said Carey Driscoll of Beach Bum Cares.
“The casita that you get to stay in includes an outdoor private shower,” said Driscoll. “It's roofless so you can see the stars from it. It also has a jacuzzi in it and its ocean front too, so it's absolutely beautiful.”
It is this non-profit’s way of providing what they call "responsible tourism." Through fund raising, they provide so many kids with the necessities of life, while also providing a lucky couple with the honeymoon of a lifetime. The property line caters to adults only.
The contest is for anyone who is engaged. You sign up online and then find out more about the process on Facebook, just search for "Beach Bum Cares." You can also visit them on their website.
“Once couples sign up, they just ask their friends and family if they'd like to support them in raising money for Beach Bum Cares, so that we can help more children in our partner schools and orphanages,” said Hayley Whorrall, Beach Bum Cares worker.
Winners will be announced at the Scottish Rite Cathedral, at the bridal show during the first week of January, and it will not just be one winner.
Other smaller prizes will include, all things wedding, such as flowers. Beach Bum Vacations will also add $600 in airfare credit to get the honeymoon vacation destination.
