Her most expensive costume to date, Sheena Booth, of Poquoson, dressed her family as the hilarious group of jabbering Yip Yips from Sesame Street. She found a tutorial on instructables.com, which said she needed about 6 yards of curly fleece material, 1 yard of black chiffon, a sponge, Styrofoam, beanie, pipe cleaners and safety pins. Overall, she says the costumes cost her about $100 (for the three of them), but she later sold them on eBay for $100. ¿So the cost, to me, was really only what it cost to ship them to California,¿ she says. Similar costumes are hard to find ready-made.
