HOWELL, Mich. (AP) — A Michigan man has given away his immunity — and his shot at winning $1 million on a hit reality TV show.

Erik Reichenbach was voted off CBS' "Survivor: Micronesia — Fans vs. Favorites." The taped episode aired Thursday night.

The 22-year-old Hamburg Township resident had won the show's immunity challenge for the third week. But he gave it away to one of the four women that remained as a good faith gesture they told him he needed to do to have a chance at winning.

Then, they booted him.

Alas, all is not lost for the outwitted Eastern Michigan track athlete. WHMI-FM says he'll return as part of the jury for the two-hour finale on Sunday. And he's still got his summer job as an ice cream scooper in Hell — the Livingston County hamlet.
