Fey 'likely' to play Palin on 'SNL'

NEW YORK (AP) — A person close to "Saturday Night Live" says actress Tina Fey is "likely" to play Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin on the NBC sketch comedy show.

The person close to the show tells The Associated Press that the "30 Rock" actress is expected to return to her former show Saturday to play the GOP vice presidential candidate. The person requested anonymity because the decision hasn't been officially announced.

Since Palin's entry onto the national political stage, speculation had been rampant over who might play Palin on the program. Many have said that Fey looks like her.
