KALAMAZOO, Mich. (AP) — A Kalamazoo-area restaurant owner is planning a raffle to unload his Italian eatery.

Jim Sieklucki tells WWMT-TV that for a $185 processing fee he'll accept applications to buy Lucky's, located just north of Kalamazoo. The restaurant opened in 2006 and closed about two years later.

Sieklucki plants to randomly pick two applicants, who will cook pizza and an entree for him and his family. The best cook gets the restaurant for $1.

Under Sieklucki's plan, he'll accept 1,600 to 2,600 applications. That would bring in $296,000 to $481,000 for the property that he says is worth about $400,000. He says refunds will be given if the goal isn't met.

Sieklucki says he wants to select the finalits Dec. 5.
