NEW YORK (AP) — This week's "Grey's Anatomy" is being billed as a musical episode, and cast member Sara Ramirez understands that saying the word musical "tends to mislead people" by implying "a lot of jazz hands."

But viewers won't see Patrick Dempsey and Sandra Oh doing a kick line Thursday.

"Grey's Anatomy: The Musical Event" will pick up where last week's episode left off with Ramirez's character, Callie Torres, injured in a car accident. It will be told from Torres's point of view.

Music has always been a big part of the ABC drama. Since its 2005 premiere, three soundtracks featuring music from acts such as Tegan and Sara and KT Tunstall have been released.

Ramirez herself won a Tony Award for best featured actress in a musical for her role in "Spamalot" in 2005.
