He released the following statement on his Twitter:
“I didn't say Peyton out 4season FOR SURE, keeping him on Active Roster n taking it month by month/Outside chance of return n December possible.”
A spokesperson for the Indianapolis Colts told Fox59 there has been no change in Manning’s physical status and he continues to heal.
Fox59 spoke with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, who was in Indianapolis for the breakfast.
"I'm not up to speed on Peyton's medical condition in detail,” said Goodell. “That is something that the clubs keep between the player and their medical, so I wasn't aware of the condition. Obviously we all hope that Peyton will get healthy quickly and get a full recovery."
