Ingredients
  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 cup milk, warmed
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3 1/2 cups flour, divided
  • 1 egg

Filling Mixture:

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter - melted
  • 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Instructions

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Set aside. In a saucepan, combine milk, sugar, butter and salt. Heat until butter is melted. Cool to lukewarm. Add 1 cup of the flour and beat well. Beat in yeast and egg. Gradually add enough remaining flour to make soft dough. Cover and let rise in warm place, approximately 1 1/2 to 2 hours. On a floured surface, roll the dough into two 16 X 8 inch rectangles.

For Filling Mixture: Combine sugar, butter and cinnamon. Spread on dough. Roll up beginning with long side and cut into 1-inch slices. Place into 3 or 4 greased 8-inch round pans. Let rise for 30 to 45 minutes. Bake at 350 for 20 to 25 minutes.

Makes 32 rolls.
