SOUTH BEND -- RiverBend Cancer Services has announced January dates for the ongoing series "Living Well with Cancer." The educational series is free.
Programs will be held at RiverBend Wellness Center at 919 E. Jefferson in South Bend; Michiana Hematology Oncology Advanced Center for Cancer Care at 5340 Holy Cross Parkway in Mishawaka; or Michiana Hematology Oncology Advanced Center for Cancer Care at 1668 S. U.S. 421 in Westville.
The "Living Well with Cancer Series" is open to cancer patients, survivors, their families, caregivers and anyone who has been touched by cancer. Refreshments will be served. Space is limited, so people are encouraged to make reservations by calling 574-287-4197.
-- Family Scrimmage: Tackling Cancer Together, 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, South Bend. A monthly program of information and support for parents/guardians diagnosed with cancer and their school age children. Call for more information or to make required reservations.

-- After the Cure: Long-Term Survival Issues, 10 a.m. Jan. 24, South Bend. Your "cure date" has come and gone. You beat cancer. Does cancer still have a hold on you? What are the long-term effects of the disease or the treatment? Come learn about a progressive cancer survivorship program.
-- Who Cares?, 10 a.m. Jan. 29, South Bend. Everyone diagnosed with cancer relies on someone for both physical and emotional support. Explore the role of the caregiver and learn tips to take care of yourself.
