Indianapolis—Text messages that were sent between IMPD officer David Bisard and another officer have now been released. These messages were supposedly sent moments before the crash that killed Eric Wells August 6th.
At 11:17 a.m. Bisard gets a text saying "Don't show up with ketchup and mustard all over your shirt." Then, about 40 seconds later, Bisard responds to the other officer "Why not?"
The other officer says, "It's not tactical." At 11:19, Bisard responds: "it smells good." The final response to Bisard before the crash was "I dare you to show up with a big **expletive** elephant ear."
The day of the crash was the first day of the Indiana State Fair but it's not known if the officers were talking about the fair. 24 hours after the release of the long awaited Bisard investigation report, many observers are asking questions about how the investigation was conducted and the report written.
After examining that report, there may be more questions to be answered.
The effort put into and the anticipation of the Bisard internal investigation report was extraordinary but the doubts about its findings are piling up.
