Indianapolis firefighters responded to the home in the 1100 block of Holmes Avenue shortly before 3 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Fire officials said the fire was so heavy that the vacant home next door also caught fire.
Fire crews got to work and had both fires quickly under control.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
Arson investigators were called to the scene to begin searching for clues as to how the fire started.
Captain Rita Burris said no one was inside either home when fire crews arrived.
There were no reports of injuries to firefighters.
The total estimated damage is about $80,000.
