(SBT24/7News) Baugo Township officials responded Wednesday night to an outdoor mulch fire at VIM Recycling, 29861 Old U.S. 33.

The fire, which started about 9 p.m., is the first fire that Baugo Township officials have responded to since the June 14 fire that killed 53-year-old Jose Espiridion Garcia Olivera and injured another worker, said Tim Graves, Baugo Township Fire Captain.

Damage was contained to the mulch, Graves said.

After the fire sparked, VIM crews arrived on the scene and took over responsibility for extinguishing it, Graves said.
