Hershey's to raise candy prices

Chocolate addicts: Feeding your fix could soon be bittersweet.

Hershey's says it's raising the bar on candy prices.

The largest North American chocolate maker says it needs to hike prices about 13 percent on about a third of its products to cover rising costs for energy, transportation and ingredients such as milk.

The affected products include regular size and king-size candy bars, six packs and bars from vending machines.

In April a Hershey's chief executive said the candymaker was looking at ways to adjust its formula to use less lactose to offset rising milk costs.
