LaPorte family holds out hope for return of hostage in Iraq

The holidays are a time of celebration. But for a LaPorte County family, that celebration is tempered by the knowledge their loved one is missing overseas.

Jeffrey Ake lives in LaPorte and owns a business in Rolling Prairie. Iraqi insurgents kidnapped him in April. Since then, there's been no word on his fate.

The FBI told our partners at the South Bend Tribune that they are aggresively trying to locate Ake and bring him home.
