(AP) A judge in Ingham County has decided there is enough probable cause to try the parents of 7-year-old Ricky Holland in his death.

District Judge Rosemarie Aquilina bound over Tim Holland and Lisa Holland on five charges: open murder, first-degree child abuse causing serious physical harm, first-degree child abuse causing serious mental harm, obstruction of justice and filing a false police report.

Ricky’s parents told police last July that he’d apparently run away. Then, in January, Tim Holland led authorities to Ricky’s body in a wooded area near Dansville.

An arraignment in circuit court has been set for April 26th. But both Tim and Lisa Holland waived their right to be present. If convicted, they each face life in prison without the possibility of parole.
