CHICAGO (AP) — The Chicago Department of Aviation says heavy rains have delayed flights in and out of the city's O'Hare International Airport.

Aviation spokesman Gregg Cunningham says Saturday's flooding has closed roads to O'Hare. The Chicago Transit Authority's Blue Line service is temporarily shut down between the Rosemont and O'Hare stations.

Officials report flight delays of an hour or more, with more expected throughout the day. Some flight cancellations are expected.

All flights to and from Houston have been canceled because of weather in Texas.

Midway Airport reports mostly normal operations, except for flight cancellations to Houston.

Passengers planning to travel to O'Hare on Saturday are advised to contact their airlines to check the status of their flights.
