Three Police Officers Under Investigation

(WSBT) Three police officers are on administrative leave due to an investigation.

St. Joseph County Sheriff Frank Canarecci could not talk about the nature of the allegations, but he says they are very serious.

Two of the three men are St. Joseph County police officers. Corporal Andy Taghon and Corporal Ryan Huston both joined the force in 1997.

The third officer under investigation is a South Bend officer. Corporal Jamie Buford has been on the force since 1992.

All three were put on administrative leave with pay Tuesday. There are no charges filed and we don't know the nature of the allegations.
