Concert Remembers Music Student Killed in Crash

By Jason Brocklesby

(WSBT) A memorial concert paid tribute to honor the life of a South Bend woman well-known for making music of her own.

24-year-old Georgina Joshi was killed along with four fellow students when the plane she was piloting went down in heavy fog April 20th near Bloomington.

Joshi was a graduate of Adams High School and a student at the IU School of Music.

Monday night, people gathered at Saint Mary's College for the performance, given by Joshi's friends and colleagues, and organized by her parents.

“Both my husband and I wanted to do this, said her mother, Louise Addicott. “This was the best way to remember Georgina. She was a musician and this was her whole life."

More than one hundred people gathered for the performance from across the Midwest.
