Pelley Guilty On All Counts

By Andrea Shaner

(WSBT) The verdict is guilty on all counts in the Jeff Pelley quadruple murder trial. The jury reached its verdict Friday night after three days of deliberations. Pelley was on trial for the 1989 murders of his father, stepmother and two stepsisters.

It was a very emotional courtroom when the verdict was read. Pelley and his family members cried when they heard the guilty verdict, as did others involved in the case.

Pelley was considered the main suspect all along, but the prosecutor in 1989 didn't think they had enough evidence to charge Pelley. He wasn't arrested for the murders until 2002.
