(WSBT) Police say they have found the body of a missing 16-year-old girl from Cass County Indiana. An Amber Alert was issued for Stephanie Wagner when she didn't come home after she left her job in Winamac Tuesday night.

Late Wednesday night, police Cass County said they found Wagner's body in a field near County Road 900 North and 700 West.
Wagner's car was found this morning in another location with her personal belongings about 30 feet away.

Police arrested Danny Rouse on a potential charge of murder in the case. They say Rouse and Wagner worked at the same restaurant.

Wednesday night, Rouse's car was taken from Winamac to the Cass County, Indiana Jail in Logansport.

They say Rouse's information lead them to the location of the body.

We also learned this evening, Rouse was released from prison this year after serving 26 years for the murder of a five-year-old in Kansas in 1979.

Police do not believe anyone else is involved in this crime. They plan to charge Rouse first thing in the morning with murder. They also say the case continues to be under investigation.
