Two Suspicious Fires Raise Questions In Goshen

By Jerry Siefring

(WSBT) Fire officials in Goshen are investigating two suspicious fires in as many days.

The first happened December 27th at a vacant rental home on Wilkinson Street. The second happened December 29th at the Blessing Place in the 900 block of Lincolnway East.

Investigators have found evidence both fires were set intentionally.

“We’re currently working hand-in-hand with the police department and investigating all leads that have come up,” said Asst. Chief Jim Ramer of the Goshen Fire Department. “At this point, to my knowledge, we have no leads that would indicate who started these fires.”

Officials are offering a $5000 reward to find out who started the fires. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Goshen Fire Department.
