(WSBT/AP) Nearly two years after he was kidnapped in Iraq, there is still no sign of Laporte County businessman Jeffrey Ake. And now his business is filing for bankruptcy and mounting debts have forced his wife to put their house up for sale.

Liliana Akevo says with the children and a sick mother to care for, she has had to make tough decisions.

Her husband was last seen in an April 2005 video that showed him being held at gunpoint by at least three people, two days after he disappeared in Iraq.

Bankruptcy filings show his water-bottling company, Equipment Express of Rolling Prairie, has more than $1.4 million in outstanding bills and about $300,000 in inventory.
