DETROIT (AP) — The wife of a Michigan soldier stationed at Fort Hood, Texas, says her husband was injured but not shot in the rampage that left 13 people dead.

Relatives of 26-year-old Army Pvt. Ray Saucedo initially said after the Thursday shootings that he had been shot in the arm. But his wife Ashley told The Associated Press on Friday night that wasn't the case.

Ashley Saucedo said Army officials have instructed her not to discuss details of how he was injured.

She said her husband resumed his duties as a mechanic later Thursday.

The Saucedos moved from Greenville to Fort Hood with their two children in July.
