(WSBT) Police say they respond to many calls at the Wooden Indian Motel. In fact, South Bend Police have responded to 109 calls there in the last year. They've covered everything from welfare checks to domestic violence to homicide.

“Usually we try to send two cars at least. Now on midnights, of course the calls are probably a little more serious," South Bend Police Sgt. Art Deak said Tuesday.

Attempts to contact the owner of the Wooden Indian were unsuccessful. Workers there say he had no comment.
