(AP) A Michigan man who admitted abducting a 12-year-old girl he had met on the Internet has been deported after serving a prison sentence in Britain, police said Monday.

Toby Studabaker, 35, of Constantine, Mich., still faces charges in the United States, including transporting a child across international borders for sexual exploitation, sexually exploiting a child in a foreign country and using the Internet to entice a child to engage in criminal sexual activity.

According to the U.S. indictment, Studabaker flew to Manchester to meet the girl, then took her to Paris. He was arrested in Frankfurt, Germany, on his way to surrender at the U.S. consulate, hours after the girl caught a flight to England from the southern German city of Stuttgart.

He was sentenced to 4½ years imprisonment in April 2004 after pleading guilty in Britain to child abduction and inciting a child to commit gross indecency.

Greater Manchester police said Studabaker was put aboard a flight to Chicago on Saturday.
