Fire Destroys Another Mexican Grocery Store

(WSBT) Fire investigators are sifting through what's left of a grocery store in Goshen that caught on fire Tuesday morning.

The fire started at the Los Galanes Mexican Grocery store on Lincoln Way East around 3:30 a.m.

When firefighters arrived flames were shooting 30 feet into the air.

"Totally engulfed in flames, and numerous fire personnel already on scene, and just attacking the blaze with everything they had," said Ken Madison, describing what he saw. "[Flames] from the roof area, maybe 10 or so feet up in the air, and you'd hear an occasional, what we thought was a big 'pop' inside."

Goshen and Elkhart firefighters worked for a couple of hours to put out of the flames.

The building is a total loss.

Investigators are now looking into what caused the fire.
