Company F Still Stateside

(WSBT) Family members tell WSBT a local National Guard unit bound for Iraq has still not left for the Middle East.

South Bend-based Company F was originally scheduled to leave last Thursday. They even held their formal departure ceremony, but their flight was postponed.

The family WSBT talked with says they're now slated to leave next week.

The unit has been training at Fort Dix in New Jersey since June.

When they do leave Fort Dix, Company F will do more training in Kuwait before they head into Iraq.
