Testing Starts Up Again on Mega Shredder

(WSBT) The Mega Shredder in Elkhart is back on line so testing on just how much noise it creates started up again Monday.

The shredder at Sturgis Iron and Metal recycles junk cars into scrap metal.

Neighbors think the company breaks the noise ordinance.

The city hired a consulting firm will will run tests to monitor the noise levels.

If results are poor, the company will have 30 days to fix the problem
