Former Teacher Accused of Having Sex with 15-Year-Old Student

CANTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — A former Christian school teacher from suburban Detroit has been arraigned on charges of having sex with a 15-year-old former student.

Thirty-one-year-old Stephanie Ann Stein of Canton Township faces a number of charges, including third-degree criminal sexual conduct. That's a 15-year felony.

Police say the relationship came to light during the summer when the boy's mother came home several times and found Stein at her house.

Stein is a married mother of two. She resigned in June from Plymouth Christian Academy.

Her preliminary exam is set for September 28th.
