(WSBT) More and more Americans are taking action when it comes to body and beauty image. But surprisingly many of these patients are in their early twenties. Beauty is big, booming, and just about everywhere you turn.

"A lot of celebrities and people on the west coast are having Botox as early as 20 [years old],” said Dr. Michael Lulenski of Legacy Medical Spa.

Botox and other anti-aging treatments are becoming more popular throughout our area, and they aren't just for those who are older.

"One of the new things that we're seeing a lot is younger and younger women coming in for Botox injections,” Lulenski told WSBT News. “Botox has always kind of been looked at as injections for older women, but actually a lot of women are coming in to have Botox earlier and earlier to prevent their wrinkles from getting deeper and more noticeable."

The Legacy Medical Spa in Mishawaka caters to clients through new technology to help patients find the fountain of youth without surgery.

The first step is a computer skin analysis.

“So what we’re going to do now is take a picture with natural white lighting,” Lulenski explained.

It’s the analysis of the amount of UV damage you might have in your skin.

“It's a way to show people a before and after improvement,” Lulenski said.

After the analysis the procedures begin.

A procedure called the ReFirm ST is becoming increasingly popular. Celebrities used it and it’s been on many talk shows. The procedure involves the use of infrared light and radio frequencies to tighten the skin.

And it’s not just in Hollywood anymore — people are finding it right here in our area.
