Habitat ReStore

Non Profit Business Supporting Community

The Habitat ReStore is a non-profit business venture supporting the community through the resale of new and used building materials, furniture and appliances. The Habitat Restore specializes in the resale of overstocked / discontinued merchandise, donated by manufacturers, stores, contractors and individuals. These items are then sold to the general public at typically up to 70% off retail prices.

ReStore was created as a fund raising branch of Habitat for Humanity. In addition to raising funds through sales to support Habitat for Humanity’s mission of eliminating substandard housing in the world, Habitat ReStores also divert tons of material from the waste stream. Through programs such as Deconstruction Services, Habitat ReStores has given its neighbors an environmentally conscious alternative to demolition. This process of hand dismantling allows homeowners to donate salvaged materials to ReStore while making room for a whole or partial house remodel. Homeowners receive a tax benefit as a result of the donation and ReStore gains building materials to be put back into the community. Shoppers reap the benefits of deeply discounted prices and are able to make their dollars stretch farther. Habitat ReStore creates a winning environment for everyone involved.

Dump or Donate? Make the Right Choice
The choice you make can literally change the world you live in. By donating gently used furniture, appliances, fixtures, and building materials to The ReStore you become part of the solution to reducing fossil fuel consumption, reducing landfills in your backyard while giving families the opportunity for first time home ownership. Make the right decision. Don’t dump, donate.

You never know what you’ll find at the ReStore!
One of the things that ReStore shoppers love (besides our low prices) is that you never know what you’ll find at the ReStore. Because we receive donations on a daily basis, our inventory changes rapidly. Today there’s a blue bathtub sitting on the ReStore floor and tomorrow its’ replaced by a stack of marble tile. ReStore shoppers know they’ll find a stock of doors, cabinets and flooring , but when you see these one-of-a-kind prizes…snap them up quickly… or someone else will!

A Habitat Affiliate oversees all aspects, including the ReStore, of Habitat for Humanity for a particular county. A ReStore is the retail portion of Habitat for Humanity and assists the affiliate with raising funds for construction.
