Avon Vs. Ellington Soccer Game

Robby Brisco gets a hug from teammate Jackson Davey (#7) Thursday before their soccer game against Ellington High School at Fisher Meadows. Robby, a senior and co-captain of the team, was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer earlier this year and is undergoing his second round of chemotherapy. In addition, he has had two surgeries this year, including one to replace one of his knees. On Thursday, Robby was allowed to start the game with the kick-off, but then left the field as planned. It was his first time on the field during a game this season.
