( Barbara Hargraves/John F. Kennedy Middle School / November 19, 2012 ) During the month of October, the students and staff of the John F. Kennedy Middle School were involved in a project to support the American Cancer Society in its fight to find a cure for cancer. Every Friday was designated a PINK-OUT Day and all students and staff were encouraged to wear pink to show their support. Pink JFK Cares t-shirts were sold with all proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society. Additional fund raisers included sales of pink bracelets and pink rubber ducks which added to a total donation of just over $1000. |
