Debra Daniel began her broadcasting career in radio, right after graduating from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee. She has also reported the news at WTVF-TV in Tennessee, and WAAY-TV and WJSU-TV in Alabama.

Debra joined WSBT in 1994. She anchors WSBT News at 5, 5:30, and 11. You can also see her Your Health Matters reports on WSBT News at 11.

Debra’s father is a retired military officer, which meant the family traveled all over the country when she was a girl. She grew up with three brothers. One is a college professor and two work for the U.S. Department of Defense.

In her spare time, Debra works out, reads, and watches movies.
