By Jerry Siefring

Nora Gathings joined WSBT News in April 2006. Nora is an Alabama native, although she has spent the last six years living throughout the world. She attended college at Florida State University where she studied journalism in London and interned for ABC’s Good Morning America.

Nora graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Mass Media Studies and returned to New York to work for ABC News. After two years working behind the scenes, Nora decided to pursue a graduate degree in Broadcast Journalism from Boston University.

Before coming to Indiana, Nora was a political reporter for WFCR-FM, a NPR affiliate, and NNN, a Boston cable station. She reported from Beacon Hill on the controversial stem cell research and gay marriage bills. She also reported for KECI-TV in Missoula, Montana, where she covered wildfires and the discovery of the Groene children.

In her free time, Nora enjoys running, watching college football, and exploring Michiana.
