Carolyn Manno

By Jerry Siefring

Carolyn Manno began her career at WSBT as a sports reporter/anchor, then transitioned into news as the reporter for WSBT News First Thing In The Morning. She now splits her time between the two departments.

Within her first year in South Bend, Carolyn earned multiple first place awards from the Indiana Associated Press for her story telling. She was also honored with the prestigious Edward R. Murrow award, and an Indiana Spectrum Award for journalistic excellence.

Carolyn graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Telecommunication and Political Science.

While at UF, Manno worked as a sports director and anchor for WUFT-TV, as well as a general assignment news reporter for WRUF-AM-850 in Gainesville. She also worked as a sideline reporter for ESPN Radio, and was an All-American on the University of Florida Women’s Lacrosse Team.

When she’s not at work you can most likely find Carolyn trying to helplessly navigate snowy roads, in the gym, or trying to find an open golf course.
