Carolyn Manno

By Jerry Siefring

Carolyn Manno comes to Michiana from sunny Orlando, Florida. She graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Telecommunication and Political Science.

While at UF, Manno worked as a sports director and anchor for WUFT-TV, as well as a general assignment news reporter for WRUF-AM-850 in Gainesville. She also worked as a sideline reporter for ESPN Radio, and was an All-American on the University of Florida Women’s Lacrosse Team.

Within her first year at WSBT, Carolyn earned two first place awards from the Indiana Associated Press for her story telling in sports. She was also honored with the prestigious Edward R. Murrow award.

Though she’s a die-hard Gator fan at heart, Carolyn is so excited to be covering the Fighting Irish and tons of local sports. “To get to cover Notre Dame, a school with such a prestigious sports history is unbelievable and a true privilege,” Carolyn says.

When she’s not at work you can most likely find Carolyn trying to helplessly navigate snowy roads, in the gym, or trying to find an open golf course.

Carolyn can’t get enough sports, and would love to hear about an athlete you know with a special story to tell.
