Chad Damp worked for years behind the scenes as an award-winning photojournalist. Now he's moved in front of the camera, reporting the news and sports.

As a child, Chad moved around a lot while his father served in the Air Force. His love for television was developed at the Elkhart Career Center and his first job in TV was at Fox 28 in Elkhart. He worked for the NBC/ABC station in Fort Myers, Florida, before joining WSBT in 2005.

A huge Colts, Cubs and Notre Dame fan, Chad likes to read and watch movies in his free time. He's a big fan of comedies and cartoons. In fact, he says if he wasn't doing sports, he'd love to be a voice-over actor for animation.

Chad says his philosophy of life is simple: “Opportunity only knocks once if you don’t answer. If you keep making the best of the opportunities that come, it’ll keep knocking like your favorite pizza delivery person.”
