Andrew Sweeney was born and raised in a small town just outside of Boston, Massachusetts.

Andrew graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Meteorology. While at FSU he was a regular on daily student-run weather show. In the Summer of 2004 Andrew was an intern in the weather department at CBS4 in Boston. Prior to forecasting in Michiana, he worked for KAAL-TV in Minnesota.

Andrew joined WSBT News in October 2006 and says he looks forward to bringing the weather into your home every weekend. While growing up in the Northeast, Andrew saw his share of winter weather and ready to put his knowledge to the test and bring you the best forecast possible.

When he isn’t looking at weather maps Andrew enjoys watching all kinds of sports, especially the Boston Red Sox. When he is in Boston you can most likely find him at Fenway Park. Also a fun little fact, Andrew can solve the Rubik’s Cube in under two minutes.
