Location: 3121 S. Glenstone. Ave. at E. Erie St. (next to Office Depot), Springfield Summary: Florida-based LongHorn Steakhouse enters the Springfield market with this 6,200 square foot restaurant. The company says the facility will offer American Western fare with seating for 240 patrons. LongHorn is a division of Darden, Inc. which also owns and operates the national Red Lobster and Olive Garden chains. Darden's Springfield Olive Garden location sits directly east of the new LongHorn location at 3105 S. Glenstone. New jobs created: 85 Completion date: October 2011
